Who we are

QuikSync Technologies LLP operates QuikSignal and is the controller of the personal data described here, except where a customer uses QuikSignal to process information on its own behalf, where the customer is the controller and we act on its instructions. Our registration details and contact routes are at the foot of this page.

For anything about your personal data, write to grievance@hello.quiksynctech.com. That address is read by a person who is accountable for the answer. We have not appointed a data protection officer, and we do not currently have a representative in the European Union or the United Kingdom.

What we collect about you

• Account details. Your name, work email address, organisation name, and the role you hold in your workspace. We get these when you sign up or when a colleague invites you.
• Enquiries. What you type into a form on this site (a sample report request, a trial or demo request, a signup): your name, email, phone number where asked, company, job title and your message.
• Billing details. Your billing name, organisation, billing email and the record of what you were charged. We never see or store your card number, CVV or expiry. Card details are entered on our payment provider’s own form and never reach our servers; we receive only a payment reference and, at most, the last four digits and the card network.
• How you use the product. Sign-in events, which screens and exports you use, and the questions you ask the product - so we can make it work and investigate faults.
• What you put in. The companies and markets you ask us to watch, your own company profile, and anything you upload or connect.
• If you arrive through an invitation link. When you open a signal.quiksync.com/i/ link, or any link carrying a referral code, we record the click: the IP address it came from, the approximate country, region and city that address resolves to, your browser’s own description of itself, and the page you clicked from. We use it for one purpose - to tell our own team which of them introduced you, and to tell a real visitor apart from a mail scanner. It is not used to profile you, it is not combined with anything we hold about other people, and it is not shared. It is kept with the referral record for as long as that record exists. To count people rather than requests, your browser is given a random identifier in a first-party cookie (qs_vid, ninety days) and the landing page confirms once that it loaded; the identifier is not derived from your device and is used only to count unique and returning visits to the link. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland that identifier is set only once you have agreed to analytics cookies.

Information about other people

This is the part worth reading properly. QuikSignal researches material that is open to anyone to read - newsrooms, regulatory filings, careers pages, investor material, trade press - and identifies people named in it in their professional capacity: a name, a job title, the employer, and the document they were named in. Every such record carries the document it came from. It is shown only to the customer workspace that watches that employer.

We hold ourselves to limits here, and they are commitments rather than preferences:

• We do not scrape LinkedIn, or any platform whose terms forbid it.
• We do not buy personal contact data, and we do not find or store anybody’s personal email address or phone number.
• We do not infer or record anything about a person’s private life, and we do not guess.
• We do not collect special-category data - health, beliefs, and the rest - at all.
• Nothing is scored in secret: every conclusion shows its source. A seniority or function label is read from the job title in that source, not judged about the person.
• No decision with a legal or similarly significant effect on anybody is made automatically.

We rely on our legitimate interest, and our customers’, in understanding the organisations they sell to and compete with, balanced against these limits. If you are named in QuikSignal you can ask to see the record, have it corrected, or object to it and have it removed: email the address above. You do not need an account with us to ask. When you object we delete the record and keep only your name and employer on a do-not-collect list, so that the next research run does not put you back.

Why we are allowed to hold it

• To provide the service you bought, or asked us for - performance of our contract with you, or the steps you asked us to take before one (a sample, a trial).
• To run a market-intelligence product on business information that organisations and individuals have themselves stated openly - our legitimate interest, balanced against the limits above.
• To keep the service secure and find faults - our legitimate interest in a working, safe service.
• To reply to enquiries and follow them up - our legitimate interest in answering the people who contact us. You can object to any follow-up at any time and we will stop.
• To meet tax and accounting obligations - a legal requirement we cannot opt out of.
• With your consent, for analytics and advertising cookies where consent is required, which you can withdraw at any time.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal data, and we never will. We share it only with the suppliers who make the product work - hosting and database, email delivery, application logging, the AI model providers that analyse research text, our payment providers, and, where you allow it, Google and Meta for measuring our own advertising. Each gets only what its part needs. The full list, with what each receives, where it processes it and what its terms say, is on our subprocessors page.

Our payment providers and Google’s advertising measurement act as independent controllers under their own privacy terms. For the Meta pixel, Meta and we are jointly responsible for collecting and sending the event data.

We will disclose data if the law requires it. If we are ever compelled to, we will tell you unless we are legally barred from doing so.

AI processing

QuikSignal uses AI models from the providers on the subprocessors page to read, summarise and cross-check research material and to answer questions asked in the product. What is sent is the research text, the question and the company context; passwords and payment details never are. Answers in the product are drawn from the documents they cite, and every claim shows its source.

Where it is held

QuikSync Technologies LLP is based in India, and our main suppliers process data in the United States and other countries. Data from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland is therefore transferred outside them. Where a supplier’s terms include the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses, the UK addendum or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, those are the safeguard for that supplier; the subprocessors page says which terms each supplier offers, and where we found none.

How long we keep it

• Account data: while your workspace is active, and for 90 days after it closes.
• Researched market information: for as long as your workspace runs. Deleted within 30 days of closure.
• Enquiries that did not become customers: up to 24 months from the last contact.
• Billing and invoice records: 8 years, because Indian tax law requires it. This is the one category we cannot delete on request.
• Security and audit logs: 12 months.
• Invitation-link clicks: kept with the referral record, which has no fixed expiry - the attribution it carries has to outlast the first order. Ask us and we will delete a click record; nothing depends on it once an account exists.
• Cookie choices: the choice itself sits in your browser for 6 months; our record of it carries no identifier.

Deletion at the end of these periods is not yet automatic. Until it is, we remove what has passed its period on request and in a review held at least every three months.

What you can ask us to do

Ask us for a copy of what we hold, correct it, delete it, restrict what we do with it, object to it, or have what you gave us in a portable format. You can withdraw a consent at any time, without affecting what was done before. You can object to marketing at any time, and we will stop. Email us and we will respond within one month; if a request is complex we will tell you within that month why it needs longer. If you are not satisfied with how we handled it, tell us so plainly and we will escalate it internally. In the European Union you also have the right to complain to the data protection authority where you live or work, and in the United Kingdom to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Cookies and advertising

We use cookies to keep you signed in, to keep sign-in and checkout secure, to remember your workspace, to remember which invitation you followed, and to remember your cookie choice (the qs_consent cookie, 6 months). These are needed for the service you asked for and are always on.

On our visitor-facing pages - this website, the access request form and the signup flow - we run Google’s advertising and analytics tags, so that we can tell which of our ads led to an enquiry and how the site itself is used. Together they set an advertising cookie and an analytics cookie (_gcl_au, _ga), and report page views and conversions to Google. We use them to measure our own advertising and our own pages; we do not sell your data and we do not use it to build a profile of you for anyone else.

On the same pages we also run Meta’s pixel, so that we can tell which of our Facebook and Instagram ads led to a visit or a sample report bought. It sets an advertising cookie and reports page views, a started checkout and a completed purchase, with its amount, to Meta. It is not sent your name, email address, phone number or anything you type into a form.

We also count page views with Vercel Web Analytics, run by our hosting provider. It sets no cookie, does not follow you to other sites and records only the page, the referring site, the country and the device type, so that we can check our other figures.

How visitors use this site. When analytics is allowed, we record the pages you open on signal.quiksync.com, the buttons and forms you use, the site or campaign that sent you, your browser, operating system and device type, the IP address you came from, the approximate country, region and city it resolves to, and the network it belongs to (looked up from the address block in the RIPE NCC’s registry; we send the block, never your own address). It is tied to the same first-party cookie (qs_vid), and if you sign in, to your account, so that we can see which pages and channels lead people to subscribe. We do not fingerprint your device, we do not work out who you are from your address, and we do not sell or share this record. Your address is stored encrypted and deleted after thirty days; the rest is deleted after thirteen months. Only our administrators can see it. Ask us at the address below and we will show you, or delete, what we hold for your browser or account.

Your choice decides. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, none of the analytics or advertising tags runs until you choose, and “Reject all” is as easy as “Accept all”. Elsewhere they run unless you turn them off, and a browser that sends Global Privacy Control has advertising turned off. You can change your mind at any time from Cookie settings at the foot of every page; turning a category off removes its cookies. In those three regions the review-site badges in our footer also wait for that choice, because their images report the visit to the review site.

We do not run it inside the product. Once you are signed in to your workspace, or in the admin console, there is no advertising tag on the page at all - your work inside QuikSignal is not tracked for advertising.

You can also block it the same way you block any other tracker: browser settings, an ad blocker, or Google’s own ad settings. Nothing on this site stops working if you do.

Security

Access is controlled per workspace and enforced on the server, not merely hidden in the interface. Secrets are held as environment variables and never in our source code or in the browser. Data is encrypted in transit. More detail is on our security and privacy page. No system is perfect; if we ever suffer a breach that affects you, we will tell you and the relevant authority without undue delay.

Children

QuikSignal is a business tool and is not intended for anyone under 18.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will email account holders rather than quietly changing the date at the top.
